Cadillac ATS Recalls
The ATS has been recalled 9 times. The 2013 model year has been involved in the most campaigns.
Recalls are free repairs, initiated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or Cadillac itself, for a widespread safety problem. They might be a pain, but a recalled problem is better than an ignored one.

The days are getting shorter, the temperatures are getting colder, and it's time to fire up our car's defrosters.
Unfortunately for 121,000 ATS owners, though, firing up their defrosters might actually start a fire. Cadillac issued a recall for the 2013-16 ATS sedans after four confirmed reports of fires from the rear defroster:
"The defroster [overheats] due to a weak electrical connection in the module. The fires have been reported breaking out on the driver's side rear pillar where the defroster module is located."…

GM says the sunroof can be activated too easily and is recalling 83,000 of the sedans to replace the roof console switch trim plate. Sound familiar? The same problem was recalled earlier this year. Obviously that didn't go so well.…

Luckily for you, Cadillac has decided to check the brakes as part of a recall. Specifically, they'll be examining a bracket between the brake pedal assembly and the rod that controls the brakes. If that bracket is fractured, it will break the brakes ... so to speak.…
